What to Expect at Your Sculptra Appointment
Your dermatology provider will inject Sculptra beneath the skin using a fine needle, strategically placing the product to stimulate collagen production. The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes, and you can resume normal activities afterward. Over the following weeks, collagen production is stimulated, and you'll notice a gradual improvement in facial volume and skin texture.
Sculptra Maintenance Recommendations
- Gentle Massage: Massage the treated areas as directed by your dermatology provider to ensure even distribution of Sculptra.
- Stay Hydrated: Maintain proper hydration to support collagen production and overall skin health.
- Sun Protection: Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen regularly to protect the treated areas from UV damage.
- Avoid Stress on Skin: Minimize excessive facial movements or stress on the treated areas to optimize results.
- Regular Follow-ups: Schedule follow-up appointments with your dermatology provider to assess progress and determine if additional sessions are needed.
Sculptra Maintenance Schedule
- The frequency of maintenance sessions is customized based on individual aesthetic goals, skin condition, and response to Sculptra treatment.
- Typically, an initial series of 2-3 treatment sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, is recommended for optimal results.
- Regular follow-up assessments with your dermatology provider will determine the need for additional sessions. Your dermatology provider will also assess the stimulated collagen production to gauge the longevity of results.
- Depending on individual response, maintenance sessions may be scheduled annually to sustain the desired results.
