Katie was born and raised in the Atlanta area and is excited to be back in Atlanta after finishing PA school in North Carolina. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling whenever possible.
Biography
Katie gained patient care experience working as a medical assistant at Dermatology Affiliates before attending Wake Forest School of Medicine in PA Studies. It was during her time at Dermatology Affiliates that her interest in dermatology began and it continued to grow during school. She is very excited to return to Dermatology Affiliates as a Physician Assistant.
From a young age, Katie has always had a passion for helping others, whether it was taking a sick classmate to the nurse’s office to providing sunscreen to her friends on mission trips. Using her passion for helping others, she is excited to treat her patients’ dermatologic concerns. Katie believes in working with individual patients to develop a treatment plan that works best for each patient. Additionally, Katie believes that the medical field is constantly advancing and enjoys staying up-to-date on medical literature and attending medical education events.
Katie is a member of Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants.
